Breaking News: ABU Signs MoU with Southern University of Science and Technology China
Southern University of Science and Technology (No. 1088 Xueyuan Blvd., Nanshan District, Shenzhen, 518055, P.R. China) (hereinafter “SUSTech”), International Centre for Higher Education Innovation under the auspices of UNESCO (No. 1088 Xueyuan Blvd., Nanshan District, Shenzhen, 518055, P.R. China) (hereinafter “UNESCO-ICHEI”) and Ahmadu Bello University (Senate Building, Ahmadu Bello University, Samaru Campus, Zaria, Kaduna State, Nigeria) (hereinafter “ABU”) have this afternoon (23/05/2019) signed a tripartite MOU to cover such activities as:
1. Exchange of undergraduate and/or graduate students;
2. Exchange of faculty, staff and/or postdocs;
3. Exchange of scientific materials, publications and information;
4. Dual doctoral degree programs;
5. Joint research, joint research centers or institutes;
6. Any other form of cooperation jointly agreed upon.
Each collaboration will be further discussed between the parties involved. A separate agreement or an addendum to this MOU which stipulates the details is necessary to initiate each of the above programs.
Prof. Li Ming (Director UNESCO/ICHEI) signed on behalf of UNESCO/ICHEI and Dr Xu Li (Associate Director, Global Engagement Office, SUSTech) signed on behalf of SUSTech while the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ibrahim Garba, signed on behalf of ABU Zaria.
