ABU condoles with Zazzau Emirate over loss of Emir’s younger brother
The Vice-Chancellor, Ahmadu Bello University, Prof. Kabiru Bala, FNIOB, FSAN, has condoled with Zazzau Emirate over the demise of Nigeria’s Ambassador to Morocco, Alhaji Mansur Nuhu Bamalli.
The deceased, who held the title of Magajin Garin Zazzau, died on Friday, 20th October, 2023. He was a younger brother to the Emir of Zazzau, Malam Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, CFR.
The Registrar of the institution, Malam Rabiu Samaila, who led a nine-member delegation on a condolence visit to the Emir in Zaria today, delivered a letter of condolence to the royal father on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor.
The Registrar said that the Senate, Management, Staff, and Students of the University received with “heavy heart but total submission to the will of Allah (SWT)”, the demise of the envoy.
“His death is undoubtedly a great loss, not only to Zazzau Emirate and people of Kaduna State but also to the entire nation. His leadership qualities and contributions to the nation building will forever be remembered by posterity. The vacuum created by his death will no doubt be difficult to fill”, said the letter of condolence.
The delegation prayed that Allah (SWT) will grant the deceased eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus as well as give the Emir and people of the Emirate the fortitude to bear the loss.
Responding, the Emir of Zazzau, Malam Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, CFR, thanked the delegation and the University in general for the condolence visit, saying that he really felt some respite from the wordings of the letter.
Members of the delegation included the Bursar, Malam Aminu Muhammad Bello Gurin; the Ag. University Librarian, Dr. Abdulhamid Gambo Liman; the Director, Directorate of University Advancement and International Education, Prof. Sani Abba Aliyu, mni; and the Director, Physical Planning and Municipal Services, Arc. Suleiman Mohammed.
Others were Director, Iya Abubakar Institute of Computing and ICT (IAIICT), Malam Shuaibu Mohammed; Ag. Chief Security Officer of the University, Malam Ashiru T. Zango; the Director, Public Affairs Directorate, Malam Auwalu Umar; and Special Assistant to the Vice-Chancellor, Malam Auwal Yusuf Mohammed.
