NAPRI trains 45 Ebonyi personnel on artificial insemination techniques in Abakaliki
The National Animal Production Research Institute (NAPRI), Ahmadu Bello University, has trained a total of 45 Ebonyi State personnel in Abakaliki on modern techniques and equipment handling for artificial insemination.
The institute coordinated the training in collaboration with the Ebonyi State Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support Project (Ebonyi State L-PRES).
The five-day intensive training took place at the Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki from Monday, 13th January, 2025 to Friday, 17th January, 2025.
NAPRI’s Head of Artificial Insemination Unit, Dr Yusha’u Usman Abubakar, led the institute’s training team.
The training was essentially to enhance the skills of AI technicians on modern artificial insemination techniques and equipment.
The training underscores NAPRI’s expertise in enhancing livestock productivity in Nigeria.
The institute has continued to make positive impacts on the agricultural sector, particularly in the overall development of the livestock sub-sector in Nigeria.
