Kad-ICT Hub Chair, Babangida Inuwa, leads friends on visit to ABU
The Chairman of Kad-ICT Hub, Babangida Inuwa, has led some of his friends to Ahmadu Bello University, where they paid a courtesy call on the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Adamu Ahmed.
Inuwa, a Non-Executive Director, at the Mainstream Energy Ltd, was very instrumental to many of the relationships ABU enjoyed with Kad-ICT hub.
Briefing the Vice-Chancellor on the purpose of the visit, Inuwa stated that they were at the University to congratulate Prof Ahmed on his appointment.
Inuwa disclosed that they had been friends of Prof Ahmed for over a decade and they had enjoyed a good working relationship.
He described Prof Ahmed as a humble gentleman whose appointment was well deserved.
The Chairman prayed to Almighty Allah to guide the Vice-Chancellor and all Principal Officers in achieving the ABU dream.
Responding, Vice-Chancellor, Prof Adamu Ahmed, thanked Inuwa and his friends for the visit.
Prof Ahmed appreciated Inuwa for supporting the University, particularly sponsoring of the Enactus Team, when they were going for the World Cup competition.
The Vice-Chancellor explained that ABU and Kad-ICT hub had a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on entrepreneurship and engineering.
He said Kad-ICT hub was established to accelerate entrepreneurship amongst youths in Northern Nigeria.
According to Ahmed, even though Inuwa did not attend ABU, he had so much respect for the University and had assisted in different ways.
The Vice-Chancellor expressed gratitude to the friends of Babangida Inuwa who accompanied for the visit and willingness to support the institution.
They are Amb. Mohammed A Musawa, Maj Gen MI Umar rtd, Shehu A Saulawa, Alhaji Salisu Rabeh, Alhaji Lawal Barau, and alhaji Haruna A Zailani.
Those who supported the Vice-Chancellor in receiving the guests were Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, Prof Bello Sabo; Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic; Prof Raymond B Bako; and Deputy Vice-Chancellor Advancement, Research and Innovation, Prof Sanusi Aliyu Rafindadi.
Others were Bursar, Malam Mohammed Bello Aminu Gurin; and Special Assistant to the Vice-Chancellor, Dr Ibrahim Sani Kaita.
