Dr. Obadaki reappointed as Coordinator, ABU General Studies Programme
. . . Just as Engr. Bashir appointed as Deputy Director, IAIICT
The Vice-Chancellor, Ahmadu Bello University, Prof. Kabiru Bala, has approved the reappointment of Dr. Yakubu Obadaki Yusuf as the Coordinator for the institution’s General Studies Programme.
Similarly, the Vice-Chancellor approved the appointment of Engr. Bashir H. Sani as the Deputy Director, Iya Abubakar Institute of ICT (IAIICT).
The reappointment of Dr. Obadaki, which takes effect from 6th August, 2023, is for a period of two years, while Bashir’s appointment, effective from 2nd August, 2023, will last two years. By his reappointment, Obadaki, who teaches at the Department of Geography and Environmental Management, will continue to be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor in the running of the programme.
Obadaki was reappointed because of his hard work, sincerity, and academic qualities, and it is expected he will bring his wealth of experiences to bear in the service of the University. Engr. Bashir, who works at Iya Abubakar Institute of ICT (IAIICT), will be responsible to the IAIICT Director for the day to day operations of the Institute.
His appointment is in recognition of his administrative and leadership qualities, and in the hope that he will continue to render his contributions towards the upliftment of the Centre and the University as a whole.
Both Obadaki and Bashir were advised by the Vice-Chancellor to be honest and fair in all their official dealings.
