C’ttee on Onboarding Staff and Students submits report to Vice-Chancellor
The Ahmadu Bello University Senate committee on Onboarding Staff and Students to Anthropology Blackboard Ultra LMS and TERAS Platform has submitted its report to the Vice-Chancellor.
The Committee, chaired by the Dean, Students Affairs Division, Prof. Sahalu B Junaidu, has the Dean, Faculty of Law, Prof. Salim B Magashi; Dean, Faculty of Education, Prof. Halidu Bayero; and Director, Directorate of Academic Planning and Monitoring, Prof. Bello Mukhtar, as members.
Other members are Director, IAIICT, Malam Shuaibu Umar; Prof. Kola Odofin of the Department of Archaeology and Heritage Studies; and Staff Officer, Students Affairs Division, Malam Usman S. Lawal.
Presenting the report to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Kabiru Bala, today, the committee Chairman, Prof. Sahalu B Junaidu, said the Committee was set up following a letter received from the Federal Ministry of Education in respect of the TERAS platform.
Prof. Sahalu disclosed that the TERAS platform contained 11 different services.
He said some of the services of the platform include consolidated library application platform and sponsored data package for staff and students.
Others are eagle scan or plagiarism checker and repository of beneficiary institutions digitized thesis among others.
Responding, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kabiru Bala, commended the Chairman and other members of the Committee for coming up with the report.
Prof. Bala said the report would be presented to Senate for prompt actions.
The Vice-Chancellor expressed gratitude to the committee for prompt response.
