C’ttee of Deans and Directors calls on ABU’s new Vice-Chancellor
The Committee of Deans and Directors (CDD) has paid a courtesy visit to the new Vice-Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University, Prof. Adamu Ahmed.
Briefing the Vice-Chancellor on the purpose of the visit, the Committee’s Chairperson, Prof. Maryam Aminu, stated that they visited the Vice-Chancellor to congratulate him on his appointment as Vice-Chancellor of the University.
Prof. Aminu disclosed that they were honored to pay him a courtesy call as he assumed the important leadership role.










The Chairperson prayed that the tenure of the new Vice-Chancellor would be marked by wisdom, strength, and remarkable achievements.
She also expressed confidence that Prof Ahmed’s tenure would foster unity and drive the University toward greater heights.
She prayed to God to give him good health, divine guidance, and abundant grace, as he takes over the mantle of responsibility.
In a remark, the Director, Directorate of Advancement and International Education, Prof. Sani Abba Aliyu, mni, congratulated the Vice-Chancellor and wished him a successful tenure.
Prof. Aliyu said they were committed to cooperating with him to address the challenges of the University.
Also speaking, the Dean, Faculty of Environmental Design, Prof. Abdullahi Abubakar, noted that leadership comes with styles and certainly they were willing to adapt to the style of the Vice-Chancellor.
Prof. Abubakar said they had discussed amongst themselves and were willing to give all the needed support for the Vice-Chancellor to succeed.
Responding, Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Adamu Ahmed, thanked the CDD for the show of support to his administration, stressing that being the Vice-Chancellor of ABU was like being the Vice-Chancellor of five Universities.
The Vice-Chancellor described the visit as one of the highest levels of confidence, saying that he was only here to coordinate, but the engine room was where the Deans and Directors were.
Prof. Ahmed appreciated the CDD for coming on the second day of his assumption, emphasizing that he was committed to moving the University forward, together with them.
He said he was looking forward to a formal session with them to have a collective discussion.
The Vice-Chancellor appreciated the Deputy Vice-Chancellors for their hard work and commitment, adding that they were people he had known for almost 30 years.
