ABU matriculates fresh students
Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria has matriculated the newly admitted students for the 2024/2025 academic session.
The event took place today (Tuesday, 25th February, 2025) at Mamman Kontagora Square, Main Campus, Samaru, Zaria.
Fresh students from all the 18 Faculties of the University were presented to the Vice-Chancellor by their respective Deans for the matriculation.
The Registrar, Ahmadu Bello University, Malam Rabiu Samaila, administered the matriculation oath to the students.
Addressing the students, the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Kabiru Bala, said that the newly admitted students were “lucky” to be admitted into the University.
The Vice-Chancellor called on them to respect the rules and regulations of the University while also considering the rights and privileges of staff and members of the University Host Community.
He also urged them to shun social vices such as the use of hard drugs, alcohol and joining of secret societies or cults.
Prof. Bala explained that the University has its established dress codes and called for strict adherence to it, while enjoining them to be security conscious and report any suspicious activity immediately.
He welcomed them to the University and wished them success in their academic pursuits.
