ANSEN visits ABU Vice-Chancellor
Members of the Board of Trustees of the Academy of Natural Science and Engineering in Nigeria (ANSEN) today (Tuesday, 25th February, 2025) paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor, Ahmadu Bello University, Prof. Kabiru Bala.
President of ANSEN, Prof. Danladi S Matawal, led the team.
Prof Matawal explained the purpose of the visit, saying the selection of ABU for ANSEN public lecture was necessary considering the strategic position and contribution of ABU to research, teaching and learning.
He maintained that ANSEN Fellows are in ABU for a series of activities for three consecutive days.
He commended the effort of the Vice-Chancellor in taking the University to greater heights and appreciated the warm reception accorded his members on their arrival in the University.
Responding, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kabiru Bala, appreciated the Academy for the visit saying he was glad that ABU was selected to host this year’s association Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) and Public Lecture.
Prof. Bala also said it was interesting for the University to establish a cordial relationship with ANSEN and described the relationship as very important to the University.
