ABU to assist AFIT develop its Human Resource Department
The Vice-Chancellor, Ahmadu Bello University, Prof. Kabiru Bala, has expressed the willingness of the University to assist the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) develop the institute’s Human Resource Development Department.
Prof. Bala made this known when the Registrar of the Institute, Air Commodore M.S. Lawal, visited the University in Zaria on Tuesday to seek ABU’s assistance towards setting standard for AFIT’s Human Resource Department.
The Vice-Chancellor appreciated the visit, and for particularly picking interest in ABU to help develop its registry department.
Earlier, the Registrar of the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), Air Commodore M.S. Lawal, expressed the institute’s readiness to partner with Ahmadu Bello University to set standard for its human resource development department.
Air Commodore Lawal, who doubles as Director, Academic Planning of the institute, explained that AFIT’s Human Resource Development Department needed to be well guided by ABU.
He specifically requested for the deployment of a Deputy Registrar with requisite knowledge of administration to assist the institute’s HRD to take shape.
The Registrar was in company of the institute’s Provost, Prof. Dauda Mohammed, Directorate Quality Assurance, Dr. Ibrahim Yahuza and Squadrant Leader C.J. Jonathan.
