Zaria Police Mobile Force chief visits ABU, calls on VC
The new Commanding Officer for the 47 Squadron Police Mobile Force, Nigeria Police, Zaria, ACP Hussaini Abdu, has visited Ahmadu Bello University where he called on the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Adamu Ahmed.
During the courtesy call on the Vice-Chancellor, the police boss said he was in the university to thank authorities of the institution for the cooperation being extended to his men.
ACP Abdu, who also told the Vice-Chancellor that he came to ABU for familiarization, said he was newly posted to head the police mobile force command.
The police chief expressed satisfaction with the cordial working relationship between the university and the police mobile force command.
ACP Abdu, who thanked the Vice-Chancellor for the warm reception accorded him and his team members, said the command would continue to work with ABU officials at all times for security enhancement.
Receiving the police chief, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Adamu Ahmed, described the visit as ‘very special’, stressing that both ABU and police mobile force command would continue to work cordially.
The Vice-Chancellor expressed gratitude to the police chief for the visit and wished him success in the discharge of his assignment.
ACP Abdu was accompanied on the visit to the university by the command Admin Officer, SP Usman A Mohammed and command Provost, ASP Shitu Shehu.
The Bursar, Malam Aminu Mohammed Bello Gurin; and Ag. Director, Human Resource, Malam Yakubu A Anivbassa helped the Vice-Chancellor in receiving the guests.
Others present were the Ag. University Chief Security Officer, Malam Ashiru T Zango; and Mr. John Jonah of the University Security Division.
