Vice-Chancellor encourages law students to imbibe reading habit

The Vice-Chancellor, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria Prof. Kabiru Bala, has urged students of the Faculty of Law to imbibe the culture of reading and research in order to improve their professional skills.

Prof. Bala made the call when the ABU Law Clinic team called on him in his office.

The Vice-Chancellor also advised them to study some selected courses such as mathematics, history, philosophy as well as Shakespeare book, to further improve their skills.

He specifically charged the Director Information, ABU Law Clinic to do more in terms of creating awareness and the visibility of the law clinic cases and commended the clinic mentorship practice.

The Coordinator, ABU Law Clinic, Dr. Hassan Bala, stated that the purpose of their visit was to create awareness among the public. He said that legal services rendered in the clinic are free and that the clinic also allowed students to participate in succession and land matters.

He also said that ABU Law Clinic is collaborating with the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Legal Aid Council, and other legal bodies to achieve the purpose for which the clinic was established.
