Vice-Chancellor commends ABU School of Postgraduate Studies for honoring outgone staff
The Vice-Chancellor, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Prof. Kabiru Bala, has commended the Dean, School of Postgraduate Studies (SPGS), Prof. Muhammad Nasir Shuaibu, for organising a send forth in honour of the outgone Board Members of the School.
Prof. Bala gave the commendation at the send forth organised held at the SPGS Auditorium on Tuesday, 13th August, 2024.
The Vice-Chancellor noted that it is a good idea for people to be celebrated for meritorious services in all endeavours.
He said the send forth was not repayment for what they had done to the School, rather a recognition of their work of excellence.
Prof. Bala thanked the awardees for their contributions to the development of the School and the University in general.
In a remark, the Dean, the School of Postgraduate Studies, Prof. Muhammad Nasir Shuaibu, explained that the ceremony was an annual event marked to honour outgoing members of the School.
Prof. Shuaibu urged the outgone members to serve humanity and use the knowledge they had acquired in the School wherever they find themselves.
Highlights of the event were goodwill messages and presentation of plagues to the outgone members. The event was attended by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic, Prof. Raymond Bako, Deans of Faculties, Heads of Departments and Management Staff of the School.
