NIA visits ABU Vice-Chancellor
Nigerian Institute of Architecture fellows have visited Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and called on the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kabiru Bala.
The team led by the President of the Nigerian Institute of Architecture (NIA), Arch. Mobolaji A. Adeniyi, FNIA, explained that the purpose of the visit was to appreciate the University for the knowledge they received.
Arch. Mobolaji maintained that ABU played a vital role in shaping their lives.
Earlier, the Dean of Environmental Design, Prof. Abubakar Abdullahi, said NIA came up with a unique award for ‘Best M.Sc. Students in Design’ in order to take the institution’s Department of Architecture to greater heights.
Receiving the team, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kabiru Bala, represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, Prof. Ahmed Doko Ibrahim, commended the kind gesture of honouring the first Professor of Architecture.
He said the University’s door is open for all not only for ABU alumni in terms of development and research, and wished them a fruitful stay on the campus.
