New PTDF Executive Secretary, Prof Shuaibu Shehu Aliyu, visits ABU, calls on Vice-Chancellor
. Says collaboration between both organisations will be strengthenedThe new Executive Secretary of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF), Prof Shuaibu Shehu Aliyu, has paid a courtesy call on the Vice-Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Prof Adamu Ahmed.
Prof Shuaibu visited the university two days after his assumption of duties.
Briefing the Vice-Chancellor on the purpose of the visit, the PTDF Executive Secretary stated that he was at the university to thank the him for the enormous support he had given to him.
Prof Shuaibu, a former Director of the Centre for Research and Historical Documentation, Arewa House, Kaduna, affirmed that he would leverage on the expertise of ABU, where his ideas were nurtured, in order to further enhance the growth and development of PTDF.
He assured the Vice-Chancellor of his readiness to strengthen the existing collaboration between the university and PTDF.
Prof Shuaibu said ABU would remain his greatest constituency as he grew up in the university.
The Executive Secretary thanked the Vice-Chancellor and the University Management for their warm reception, and promised to be a good ambassador of the university in his new place of assignment.
Responding, Vice-Chancellor, Prof Adamu Ahmed, congratulated Prof Shuaibu on his appointment as the new Executive Secretary of PTDF.
Prof Ahmed said the visit to the university two days after assuming office was an indication that his heart was at the institution.
The Vice-Chancellor disclosed that he had informed the University Governing Council of the appointment, which was one of the major achievements of the university.
While praying for his success, the Vice-Chancellor described Prof Shuaibu as exceptional person, who, without any iota of doubt, would represent the university well.
Prof Ahmed thanked him for the visit and wished him a successful and prosperous tenure in office.
