Notice of Entrance Examination for Diploma Programmes

The Iya Abubakar Institute of Information and Communication Technology (IAIICT), Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, cordially invites all prospective candidates to the Entrance Examination for admission into its Diploma Programmes.

Details of the Examination:
Venue: CBT Center, Opposite Gymnasium, ABU Main Campus, Samaru, Zaria.
Date: Wednesday, 29th January 2025.
Time: 8:00 AM (prompt).

Candidates are required to:
1. Arrive at the examination venue at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time.
2. Come with the following:
  - A copy of the application form (mandatory).
  - Writing materials and any other necessary documents as specified during the application process.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kabiru Bala, has made new appointments and re-appointments as follows:

Appointments

  1. Dr. Shehu Jafaru Salisu, Deputy Dean, Students Affairs Division, Kongo Campus with effect from 12th July, 2023.
  2. Dr. (Mrs.) Lucky E. Adamu, Deputy Director (Examinations), Directorate of Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) with effect from 9th June, 2023.
  3. Dr. Yahaya Abdullahi, Deputy Director (Operations), Directorate of Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) with effect from 9th June, 2023.
  4. Prof. Abdulhamid Hamza, Head of Department of Chemical Engineering with effect from 13th June, 2023.
  5. Dr. Munir Ari Sani, Head of Department of Veterinary Surgery and Radiology effect from 9th June, 2023.
  6. Prof. Aisha Abdulkadir, Head, Department of Soil Science, with effect from 18th July, 2023.

Re-appointments

  1. Dr. Adamu Sanusi Gambo, Deputy Dean, Faculty of Administration with effect from 13th July, 2023.
  2. Dr. Abubakar Mohammed Jumare, Deputy Director, Institute of Education with effect from 3rd August, 2023.
  3. Prof. Mohammed Rabiu Hassan, Assistant Director (Extension and Linkages) NAPRI with effect from 23rd July, 2023.
  4. Dr. Abubakar Yahaya, Department of Statistics with effect from 17th July, 2023.
  5. Dr. Tukur Mohammed, Coordinator, Fisheries and Aquaculture Programme, Department of Animal Science with effect from 10th July, 2023.

Each appointment/re-appointment is for a period of two years and made in recognition of the appointee’s administrative and academic leadership qualities.
The Vice-Chancellor urged them to work for the upliftment of the University.
