NAPRI’s Rashida Abdulmumin wins gold medal in women’s shot put, as RIGAN games begin in Ibadan today
The 18th edition of the Research Institute Games of Nigeria (RIGAN) began in Ibadan today with the National Animal Production Research Institute (NAPRI) winning a gold medal in the women’s shot put.
The biennial sports festival is presently taking place at the Cocoa Research Institute of Nigeria (CRIN) in Ibadan, Oyo State.
NAPRI’s Rashida Abdulmumin won the gold medal in the ‘Women’s Digital’ shot put.
The volleyball team from NAPRI equally won in their first match against the host team from CRIN by 2 – 1.
Also today, NAPRI clinched a bronze medal in the veteran shot put. Mr. Monyei Michael, who is the Chairman of NAPRI Sports Committee and also leader of the institute’s contingent to the RIGAN games, won the bronze medal.
