IDCE Team submits proposal for the establishment of Centre of Excellence in ABU
Ahmadu Bello University Investment in Digital and Creative Enterprises, (IDCE) Team has submitted its proposal to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kabiru Bala, for the establishment of a Centre of Excellence in the University.
IDCE is a youth driven project, which is one of COVID-19 palliative, initiated by the Federal Government to cushion the effect of the global pandemic.
Speaking during the submission of the proposal at a brief ceremony, the team lead, Prof. Sahalu Junaidu, explained that on the 1st of August, there was a call by the National Universities Commission (NUC), for the establishment of IDCE Centre of Excellence and on the 6th, the Vice Chancellor formed a team of six people to draft a proposal.
Prof. Junaidu said the team worked diligently and tirelessly to meet up with the deadline for the submission, which is today, 30th August, 2024.
He commended the team members for their dedication and commitment towards the success of the proposal.
In a remark, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Kabiru Bala, thanked the team lead for the timely submission of the proposal.
Represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic, Prof Raymond B. Bako, the Vice-Chancellor expressed happiness that the proposal was submitted as at when due, stressing that if it works out the team members might be called upon the champion the establishment of the centre.
The IDCE team members consist of Prof. Sahalu Junaidu as the team lead, Prof. M.K Aliyu, Dr. Emmanuel Gana, Dr. Idris Bugaje, Malam Shuaibu Umar and Malam Jamilu Wada, who is the Secretary.
