Hadiza Ali, Bashir Sani elected to represent Congregation on ABU Council

 . Even as 50 others elected to Senate, 28 to C'ttees and Boards

Barrister Hadiza Dije Ali and Malam Sani Mohammed Bashir have been elected to represent Congregation on the Governing Council of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

Hadiza, a staff of the Bursary Department, and Bashir, a personnel at IAIICT, emerged victorious at the 2025 congregation elections.

The elections took place in both Kongo and Samaru campuses on Monday, 22nd September, 2025.

Similarly, a total of 50 members were elected to represent the congregation at the Senate of the university.

Twenty eight others, who also emerged victorious at the elections, will serve on the institution’s various committees and boards.

The Chairman, University Congregation Electoral Committee, Prof Hamza Mani, presented the election results to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Adamu Ahmed, today – Tuesday, 23rd September, 2025.

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, Prof Bello Sabo, received the results on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor.

Presenting the results, the Chairman of the Congregation Electoral Committee, Prof Hamza Mani, described the elections as fair and peaceful.

Prof Mani expressed gratitude to the University Management for the support towards the conduct of the elections.

Receiving the results, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Adamu Ahmed, expressed the institution’s immense appreciation for the successful conduct of the eletions.

Represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, Prof Bello Sabo, the Vice-Chancellor equally congratulated the winners and wished them success.
