Dr Yusuf Musa Abubakar is new Coordinator for ABU General Studies Programme
The Vice-Chancellor, Ahmadu Bello University, Prof Adamu Ahmed, has approved the appointment of Dr Yusuf Musa Abubakar as the new Coordinator for the institution’s General Studies Programme (GENS).
Similarly, the Vice-Chancellor appointed Dr Halima Saadiyat Adamu as Assistant Coordinator, General Studies Programme; and Dr Salisu Aliyu as Assistant GENS Coordinator, 100 Level Courses.
Both Dr Adamu, Department of Political Science and International Studies; and Dr Aliyu, Department of Computer Science, would be required to assist the Coordinator for the day-to-day operations of the Programme.
A letter conveying Dr Yusuf Musa Abubakar’s appointment said he would be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor in running the programme.
Abubakar is a researcher at the Centre for Energy Research and Training (CERT), Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
Each of the three appointments is for a period of two years effective from Thursday, 14th August, 2025.
The appointments are also in recognition of their hard work, sincerity, and academic qualities and with the hope that they would bring their wealth of experience to bear in the service of the university.
