Department of Urban and Regional Planning calls on Vice-Chancellor
Staff members and students of the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, Faculty of Environmental Design, Ahmadu Bello University, have paid a courtesy call on the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Adamu Ahmed.
They were received on arrival at the VC’s Conference Room.
Briefing the Vice-Chancellor on the purpose of the visit, the Head, Department of Urban and Regional Planning, Dr. Yakubu Bununu, said their coming was a decision of the Departmental Board of Studies.
Bununu also said they came to congratulate the Vice-Chancellor once again and prayed for his success throughout his tenure.
The HOD explained that other alumni members of the Department from different places across the globe had sent in their congratulatory messages.
According to him, the appointment of Prof Adamu Ahmed as the Vice-Chancellor was a reflection of his diligence, commitment and hard work.
Responding, Vice-Chancellor, Prof Adamu Ahmed, appreciated all staff and students of the Department for the visit.
Prof Ahmed noted that the Department made it possible for him to be the Vice-Chancellor.
He encouraged all the staff and students to give back at every given opportunity.
The Vice-Chancellor further urged all the staff and students to support the HOD and all Unit Heads within the Department.
