ABU inducts 72 students into Pharmacy Council of Nigeria
Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria has inducted 72 students into the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria.
The oath taking/induction ceremony took place at Yusufu Bala Usman Hall on Wednesday, 19th February, 2025.
The Registrar Pharmacy Council of Nigeria, Pharm. Ibrahim Babashehu Ahmed, tasked the inductees not to relent in their pursuit of knowledge as the pharmaceutical space is rapidly evolving.
Represented by his Director, Education and Training, Dr. Anthony Idoko, the Registrar cautioned them against practices that contravene the oath they have taken.
While congratulating the inductees for their dedication and commitment to excellence during their studies, the Registrar urged them to remain committed to providing quality pharmaceutical services.
In his remark, the Vice Chancellor, Ahmadu Bello University, Prof. Kabiru Bala, congratulated parents and teachers of the inductees for their support and sacrifices to achieve this feat.
He called on the graduands to assist in fighting the menace of drug abuse and drug misuse in the society as it is ravaging the youth of the country.
In his address, the Dean, Prof Aliyu Muhammad Musa, commended the staff dedication and effort in training the students.
He then urged the graduands to focus more on research and use the knowledge they have acquired for the betterment of society.
The Registrar Pharmacy Council of Nigeria administered the oath on the 72 inductees.
Awards were presented to the best overall student pharm Abifarin Emmanuel Alaba while pharm Umar Fatima Sule for the best female.
