ABU implements CONMESS, CONHESS for staff of College of Medical Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences Faculty
Ahmadu Bello University has implemented the Consolidated Medical Salary Structure (CONMESS) and the Consolidated Health Salary Structure (CONHESS) for staff of the College of Medical Sciences and Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
The conversion and implementation of the staff salary structures from the Consolidated University Academic Salary Structure (CONUASS) to CONMESS and CONHESS was effective last month (October 2025).
It was approved by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Adamu Ahmed, as obtained in other federal universities across the country.
The Vice-Chancellor announced the development during the university’s 555th (Regular) Senate Meeting that was held on Thursday, 30th October, 2025.
It would be recalled that the Federal Government approved the revision of both CONMESS and CONHESS consequent upon the enactment of the National Minimum Wage (Amendment) Act 2024.
