ABU treats visiting President of International College of Dentists, Dr Doyle, his wife to dinner
Ahmadu Bello University has treated the visiting President of the International College of Dentists (ICD), Dr Ian Doyle, and his wife, Mrs Anne Doyle, to a dinner.
The dinner took place at NAERLS Suites and Conference Hall, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria this evening.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof Adamu Ahmed, led the visiting ICD President and his wife to the dinner.
The guests were in company of the President and Chief Executive Officer of the International Postgraduate Medical College (IPMC), Prof Christopher Ogunsalu.
Some members of the university management, including the Provost, College of Medical Sciences, Prof M S Shehu, joined the Vice-Chancellor for the dinner.
Others were the Director, Directorate of Advancement and International Education, Prof Sani Abba Aliyu; and Director, Public Affairs Directorate, Auwalu Umar.
They also included Ag Chief Security Officer, Malam Ashiru T Zango; and Special Assistant to the Vice-Chancellor, Dr Ibrahim Sani Kaita.
Dr Ian Doyle is in ABU to commission the Nigerian Academy of Dental Implantology (NADI) at the Faculty of Dentistry, Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital, Zaria.
The academy, which was sponsored by the International Postgraduate Medical College, Jamaica, will be commissioned tomorrow – Wednesday, 24th September, 2025.
The facility would be a centre for training, research, and dental implantology services.
There would also be a strong collaboration with postgraduate medical colleges and other dental schools at the academy.
