103 ABU veterinary doctors inducted today
The oath-taking ceremony for newly graduated veterinary medical students, Ahmadu Bello University, held today (Saturday, 15th February, 2025) at Abdullahi Mahadi Conference Centre, Samaru Main Campus, Zaria.
The Dean, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Prof. Junaidu Kabir, described the induction and oath taking ceremony for the 103 newly qualified veterinary doctors as historic.
The event, Junaidu also said, represented the new journey into the Nigerian Veterinary Medical Council as registered doctors.
The Dean appreciated the Vice-Chancellor and University Senate for their tremendous support to see the realisation of the day.
Prof. Junaidu reminded the new doctors of the investment made by their parents and staff of the faculty for them to become what they are today.
In his remark, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kabiru Bala, congratulated and wished the new veterinary doctors well in their future endeavour.
Prof. Bala however expressed that by virtue of the training they received, it is expected of them to show resilience and humility in discharging their services to humanity.
The administration of oath was made by the Registrar, Veterinary Medical Council, Dr. Oladotun E. Fadipe.
Awards and cash prizes were presented to the best graduating female student, Dr. Onyealilam Priscilla Chiamaka, Best Overall Graduating Student, Dr. Abubakar Hassan as well as overstayed student, Dr. Samson Sunday.
