Vice-Chancellor makes new appointments and re-appointments
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kabiru Bala, has approved the appointment and re-appointment of the following:
New appointment:
- Prof. Balarabe M. Jahun, Director, Centre for Biotechnology Research and Training, with effect from 4th December, 2023.
- Prof. Kabiru Jinjiri Ringim, Deputy Director, Quality Assurance, Directorate of Academic Planning and Monitoring (DAPM) with effect from 29th January, 2024.
- Prof. Muhammad Mustapha Bagudo, Deputy Dean, ABU Business School, with effect from 23rd November, 2023.
- Prof. Aliyu Salihu, Head, Department of Biochemistry, with effect from 5th February, 2024.
- Dr. Ramatu E. Aliyu, Head, Department of Botany, with effect from 25th February, 2024.
- Dr. Ashiru Bello, Coordinator, Centre for Spatial Information Science (CSIS), with effect from 25th January, 2024.
- Dr. Abrak Dambo, Head, Department of Biology, with effect from 5th February, 2024.
Re-appointment:
- Prof. Ezekiel Kogi, Head, Department of Zoology, with effect from 5th February, 2024.
- Prof. Shehu Umar, Head, Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, with effect from 1st February, 2024.
- Dr. Idris Ahmed Aliyu, Dean, ABU Business School, with effect from 23rd November, 2023.
Each of the appointment and re-appointment is for a period of two years; and the Vice Chancellor urged them to be honest and fair in carrying out their official duties.
