ABU new Vice-Chancellor receives staff members of Law Faculty
Academic and non-teaching staff of the Faculty of Law, Ahmadu Bello University, have paid a courtesy visit to the institution’s new Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Adamu Ahmed.
They were received at the Vice-Chancellor’s Conference Room on Monday, 5th May, 2025.
Briefing the Vice-Chancellor on the purpose of the visit, the Dean, Faculty of Law, Prof Salim Bashir Magashi, stated that they came to wish him well and pledge their unwavering support for him to succeed in running the university.
Prof Magashi disclosed that the Faculty, being one of the oldest in the University, had produced and would continue to produce lawyers not only for Nigeria but also globally.
The Dean congratulated the Vice-Chancellor and wished him a smooth, seamless and successful tenure.
Responding, Vice-Chancellor, Prof Adamu Ahmed, noted that he was also an associate member of the Faculty.
Prof Ahmed expressed optimism that potential donors to the University would be the alumni of the Faculty of Law.
Those in attendance were the Deputy Dean, Dr Dalhat Idris; Prof. Y.Y Bambale; Prof. Bala Babaji; IF Akande; PI Onuh; KM Danladi; and all Heads of Department.
Others were Dr Dahiru Sani; Dr Iloba Oninye; Dr Sani Abdullahi; and Dr. MT Jibril, who is the Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, Zaria Branch.
