ANAN recognises ABU VC as ‘Icon of Excellent Leadership and Scholarship’
The Zaria Branch of Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) has conferred ‘Icon of Excellent Leadership and Scholarship Award’ on the Vice-Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University, Prof Kabiru Bala.
The distinguished award is in recognition of Prof Bala’s exceptional leadership and unwavering commitment to the advancement of education and development in Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
The honour is also in recognition of his overall contributions to the growth of the academic and professional community in Nigeria.
The award, presented at a ceremony held at NITT Hotel in Zaria on Saturday, 14th December, 2024, was received by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, Prof Ahmed Doko Ibrahim, on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor.
Presenting the award, the Chairman, Zaria Branch, Prof Luka Mailafia, described Prof Bala’s commitment to the pursuit of knowledge as commendable.
“This award is presented to you in recognition of your remarkable contributions to education, leadership, and the positive impact you continue to make in the academia.
“We are confident that your legacy will continue to inspire future generations of leaders and professionals”, Prof Mailafia said.
The association pointed out that the Vice-Chancellor’s visionary leadership has had a profound impact on the University and its broader community.
Receiving the award on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, Prof Ahmed Doko Ibrahim, thanked ANAN for the recognition, saying the honour will definitely inspire the recipient to do more for humanity.
