ABU moves to improve medical services on campus
The Management of Ahmadu Bello University has moved to improve on the medical services on the campus as the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Adamu Ahmed, paid a visit to the University Medical Centre to see for himself the medical services offered.
The Vice-Chancellor, who interacted with top personnel of the medical centre, said they must do all it could to ensure the wellbeing of patients.
Prof Ahmed said the university would deploy counsellors to the medical facility to ensure the patients’ mental health stability.
At the university medical centre, the Vice-Chancellor was received and briefed on all consumables by the Deputy Director, University Health Services, Dr Alex Otu.
Dr Otu assured the Vice-Chancellor of their commitment towards effective service delivery.
He said they would do everything humanly possible to ensure that students finish their exams without any health challenge.
Responding, the Vice-Chancellor charged the doctors, nurses, and all other health workers to be very diligent with their work.
Prof Ahmed noted that students need to be prioritized in a critical moment like this.
He thanked all the staff and wished them well in the discharge of their duties.
The Vice-Chancellor was accompanied to the facility by the Dean of Students, Prof Junaidu B Sahalu; Director, Public Affairs, Auwalu Umar; and Ag Chief Security Officer, Malam Ashiru T Zango.
