80 firms bid for 2025 Capital Appropriations, TETFund projects in ABU
Eighty firms have participated in a pre-qualification bid at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria for the 2025 TETFund Annual Merged Maintenance Interventions and 2023/2024/2025 Capital Appropriations projects.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof Adamu Ahmed, declared the exercise open.
The exercise took place at ABU Procurement Office on Monday, 9th February, 2026.
The Vice-Chancellor, who is the Chairman of ABU Tenders Board, was represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, Prof. Bello Sabo.
Prof Ahmed assured all the contractors of transparency in the entire process as the university awards all contracts in compliance with the Public Procurement Acts.
The consultancy firms that participated in the bid consisted of architects, quantity surveyors, structural engineers, mechanical and electrical engineers.
Speaking at the event, TETFund projects representative, Kamal Yahaya, expressed satisfaction with the exercise.
Members of the Tenders Board include representative of the Academic Planning & Monitoring, Prof. Kabir Jinjiri Ringim; Registry representative, Malam Ishaq Murtala; and representative of Bursary, Shehu Abdulwahab.
Others are Director, Physical Planning & Municipal Services, Arc. M.H. Muktar; and Head of Procurement, Engr. Nura Garba.
