Vice-Chancellor inspects ABU Umar Suleiman Hall of Residence
The Vice-Chancellor Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Prof Adamu Ahmed, has inspected Umar Suleiman Hall of Residence.
Prof Ahmed took advantage of the vacation time to go round the huge students hostel.
It was on Thursday, 20th November, 2025 when he led some members of the university management to the hostel to inspect areas needing urgent rehabilitation.
The Vice-Chancellor expressed deep concern over the level of dilapidation in the hostel and promised swift action.
He was accompanied by the Dean, Students Affairs Division, Prof Sahalu B Junaidu; Director, Directorate of Academic Planning and Monitoring, Prof Bello Mukhtar; and Director, Physical Planning and Municipal Services, Arc. Mohammed Suleiman.
Others in the Vice-Chancellor’s company were Director, Public Affairs Directorate, Auwalu Umar; and Prof A A Murana of the Department of Civil Engineering.
They also included Senior Information and Protocol Officer, Ahmad Haruna Waziri; and President of the Students Representative Council, Comrade AbdulRahman Halilu Saraki, among others.
