Vice-Chancellor approves more appointments, reappointments 

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kabiru Bala, has approved the appointments and reappointments of some Heads of Department as follows:

1. Dr. Mohammed Bashir Abubakar, Head of Department, Sociology, with effect from 2nd March, 2023.

2. Dr. Hadiza Usman Ma’aji, Head of Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacy Practice, with effect from 3rd March, 2023.

3. Prof. M.S. Sallau, Head of Department of Chemistry, with effect from 2nd March, 2023.

4. Dr. Danjuma Abdullahi, Assistant Dean (Male), Student Affairs, Kongo Campus, with effect from 2nd March, 2023.

5. Prof. Maryam Aminu, reappointed as Head of Department of Microbiology, with effect from 14th February, 2023.

6. Dr. Dalhat Alhaji Idris, reappointed as Head of Department of Islamic Law, with effect from 3rd March, 2023.

7. Prof. Lucius Joseph Bamaiyi, reappointed as Head of Department of Crop Protection, with effect from 12th March, 2023.

8. Dr. Abubakar Ibrahim Zaria, reappointed as Head of Department of Philosophy, with effect from 14th February, 2023.

Each of the appointments/reappointments is for a period of two years and in recognition of the appointees’ administrative and academic leadership qualities. The Vice-Chancellor called on them to be honest and fair in discharging their official responsibilities.
