University of Ghana, Legon, Ghana has appointed Prof. Kwem Bakau Kadima of Veterinary Teaching Hospital, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria as a Visiting Scholar at its School of Veterinary Medicine.
Prof. Kadima’s appointment, which was contained in a letter signed by Secretary to Council, University of Ghana, Mrs. Emelia Agyei-Mensah, will hold during the 2022/2023 academic year, precisely from 20th February, 2023 to 31st December, 2023. She is expected to visit and serve for about six weeks every Semester.
The offer of appointment to her is basically to assist in teaching and research, and to also help in strengthening the UG Veterinary Teaching Hospital she helped the West African university to start when she was on a sabbatical appointment with Hospital.
It is expected that the visiting job will open up a series of collaborations and training relationship for students and staff of the two veterinary schools.
Prof. Kadima, who is a Fellow of College of Veterinary Surgeons of Nigeria (FCVSN), is currently a Consultant for National Expert for Donkey Sanctuary Project aimed at improving the welfare and sustainability of donkeys to support women’s livelihood in Upper, Ghana.
The Clinician, who was Head of Department of Laboratory Diagnostics, Veterinary Teaching Hospital, Ahmadu Bello University, is currently the Editor-in-Chief, Veterinary Clinical Practice Bulletin, Veterinary Teaching Hospital, ABU, Zaria.
