Prof. Danladi Amodu Ameh has on Friday 28 Febuary, took over the mantle of leadership from the former Vice Chancellor Ibrahim Garba.

Profile of the Acting V.C

Prof Danladi Amodu Ameh,born in Inye in Ankpa Local Government Area of Kogi State. He is a Professor of Nutritional and Medical Chemistry.

Prof. Ameh graduated with a BSc in Biochemistry with Second Class Upper Division from ABU in 1977; and in 1981 he got an MSc, also in Biochemistry from the same university.

He joined the services of Ahmadu Bello University in 1983 on the transfer of service from the National Institute for Trypanosomiasis Research (NITR), Vom, Jos, Plateau State.

Prof. Ameh was at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, where he bagged a PhD in Biochemistry in 1991 Prof. Ameh is also a Canadian Commonwealth Scholar.

Prof. Ameh held a number of Administrative position which include HOD(Biochemistry),Acting deputy dean(Faculty of Science) Member standing committee(Faculty of Science) Member board of studies (Faculty of Medine)and Member,governing board(School of Basic and Remedial Studies, Funtua).

As part of his community service,Prof Ameh was a member, NUC accreditation panel for the 1999 accreditation of Nigerian Universities.

Prof. Danladi held a number of administrative positions, including Head of Department, Biochemistry, ABU, a total of 71 academic publications in journals, conference proceedings, books, and conference papers.
